Only reason you are against parsers is because your performance is so bad even you yourself would be ashamed.Just the opposite, actually. Again, I know as I contacted people who play ESO to get their feedback. One does that when one is considering an investment in a new MMO. But I am sure you wont listen to that either or tell me I am "appealing to authority" or some such stupidity.
Ive made my points , what you choose to do with it is your problem.
Oh yes the logs. You have to MANUALLY upload them, and you can not do so and remain totally anonymous. You need to have the addon to get the logs, no addon no logs. It is still an unauthorised, unsanctioned addon with HEAVY penalties for misuse.
Sound familiar?
Silly rabbit.
Perhaps. Now consider, though, a circumstance in which you the majority --for whatever reason-- would not consent to kick them, yet you are likewise unwilling to leave.
Assumedly, they're already aware of their performance (since, per your assumption here, that's why they'd rather place a gag order on that information).
What good, then, does the comment on their performance, itself, do, as compared to more useful advice (even if it be a link to the basics) or ways of coordinating with your party to better handle being leeched off of?
If one were aware they were a leech to the point of trying to influence game policy in their favor, it's not as if calling them that is exactly going to do much.
It sure doesn't do anything but I brought it up because they make statements like these all the time despite having hidden logs lolPerhaps. Now consider, though, a circumstance in which you the majority --for whatever reason-- would not consent to kick them, yet you are likewise unwilling to leave.

Every other guy arguing against or for parsers, fine. But this guy no. Might unironically be some troll (better than me in that case)
Except the time and effort spent in blaming others has historically been higher when the facts of the matter are not shared and self-evident? Group-wide parsers literally reduce the finger-pointing, skipping over who did what in favor of where the shortfalls in coordination, etc., were.
I've said it before, I'll say it again.
The "record" feature has potential to be a perfect in game parser.
Sure, we could watch it, write it all down, and do it ourselves but... what if we didn't have to do that?
What if you could "submit" a recorded dungeon, and one hour latter you'd get a mail, with a record of your run, how you did, rankings to compare to others who submitted it, and maybe even hints on how to do better? Nothing about how anybody ELSE did though.
Now, what if you wanted it faster? How about being able to pay 100 crysta and get it in 5 minutes? Same results, just faster, and they make money.
Ain't nothing could possibly go wrong with any of that.
Will they do it?
Never.
Not on your life.
I'm reminded of a certain tank that was gaslit in p3s by the healers for not mitigating the tb after add phase "the spicy one". so he dropped the logs to prove that he was indeed mitting the TB. The healer's response was just "MuH ToS" and then they tried to play the victim on Twitter too.Except the time and effort spent in blaming others has historically been higher when the facts of the matter are not shared and self-evident? As someone who tend to be doing lots of Extreme fights for mounts and savage stuff as well who was against an ingame parser at first, over the years, my opinion changed a lot.
Having DPSs doing "freestyle" rotations and doing less damage than the healers in a game where DPS check are a thing, and being unable to tell them anything or even kick them in fear of being reported and warned/banned is kind of infuriating.
Edit: Actually SE doesn't even need to show numbers, I remember a game named "Dauntless" who used to just give people different colored medals depending of the damage done.

Nah, I'm good.
I'll be that guy. I've been playing wow for around two years now, a game in which literally everyone uses a parser. I've encountered actual toxicity due to dps/hps maybe twice. Maybe. The vast majority of the time whenever someone mentions someone's damage or healing they give actual advice and don't say shit like "you're so bad, uninstall, unsub you dirty noob" or whatever the stereotype is. 14 absolutely should have one. At least make it in ex/savage and only for the people who turn it on. If they added one that only logged your damage when you opted in I honestly don't see the downside. The number of people at 90 who have no clue how to play their jobs is downright frightening and if there were a way of telling who needs tips that could only go well. If someone doesn't want anyone to see their numbers, theoretically, they could just turn it off. Hell the devs could even add an in-world leaderboard and give each party (that opts in) a score based on how cleanly or fast they cleared a given fight.
