So people have behaved just as kindly/badly/neutrally with or without it. That doesn't bode well for your idea that parsers suddenly toxify environments or that a lack of parsers, or otherwise blinding players to what/how they're doing, would protect anything about/from the community.

And 'parser-culture' is quite a thing there, too, despite the lack of freely available parsing. Because it's literally just optimization in a game with little to no alternate further way to engage with combat content encapsulated by 'reduce enemy HP to 0 in as short a time as possible'.

It just shifted from slightly favoring actual performance to favoring theoretical performance --as per on the trial dummy, their 'striking dummy'-- leading to more insistence on meta approaches over contextual picks.

It certainly skips what tends to be the most confrontational and hostile step (finger-pointing the shortfalls away from oneself simply because there are no hard facts gathered and perspectives are each differently and barely informed), allowing players to just figure out how to improve the situation.

Pointing out the numbers that everyone can identically see anyways is like trying to unironically point out that red squares are red; it's wasted text. But remove that shared information and suddenly every one's mistakes are relevant to the insistence that the problem could in no way be you, and people are all to likely to opt into that defense mechanism, leaving the combination of content that needs to be optimized and no shared means of checking said optimization an inherently more toxic place than it ought to be.
