Why would I go and ask someone about it when it's you who are making this statement proved by nothing but "hey I've seen in on the internet somewhere"?
Facts speak for themselves. If you cannot, or will not see it, then you are incapable of learning. In 2020 ( or earlier )_ESO removed both the parser and the API calls which made it possible.

In that time since 2020 to today, nothing has changed. It is still their policy. Bethesda / Zenimax is adamant on this point.

Now...you can accept this, or go ask the Spartans .

This thread in any case is an exercise in futility. FF 14 is one of a growing list of MMOs that have dispensed with, and do not ever intend to use or make available, an official ingame parser / dps meter, for reasons that are apparent to anyone who is keeping up in modern game design.

Its in fact a growing trend in MMO development, as the developers and designers have seen what dps meters and parsing enable and encourage...they want no part of it.

In that sense, you will see other MMOs follow that trend. MMO gaming in its base form involves a sense of a social contract, no developer wants tools or components that encourage the kind of foam flecked, insane gibbering abusive behavior that dps meter cultures encompass.

You can either dismiss this, which I am sure you will, or you can start reading and see for yourself how modern gaming, and MMO design in specific, is evolving past that kind of process that is at best value neutral, at worst a social liability that can poison an online community.

One other point: In future times with new MMOs coming out, you will see that paradigm repeat itself, along with proactive and VERY heavy handed moderation which will drive the message home: watch what you say and how you say it, or spend your time looking at a screen that says you have been permanently banned.

DPS meters and toxicity go hand in hand..in this modern age, that kind of attitude and behaviour will not be tolerated. MMOs live or die by player retention, no developer anywhere wants to allow or permit in any way player actions that will drive away paying customers.

Accept it, or learn the hard way. Your call.

Would you like an in-game parser?
Ask all you like, the answer is, has been, and always will be:

    NO.
