    It's called a difficulty curve. People struggle with harder content partly because there is no difficult curve in this game. It goes from laughably easy, to moderately hard to "OMG" without any incline. Such is why you have full 340 geared DPS in Shinryu EX who can barely break 3,500 when that should be standard.

    Actually, I think it correlates well with the lack of difficulty curves. Look at anything pre-70. Most people just try to brute force through everything. Even at 70, once we have slightly above average gear, it becomes "ignore the mechanics. We can just kill it." I've purposely ignored AoE circles in Rabanastre to put up Trick Attack or what have you since I know it won't matter whatsoever and I can usually heal through Bloodbath.
