SSS does tell you if you can handle your basic rotation well enough in a dummy fight. It doesn't however do anything to help you adjusting your rotation to a specific fight, party buffs and so on. Changing your rotation to do better on a SSS dummy may even make you do worse in an actual fight. It also doesn't tell you how well you can keep your DPS rotation up while handling mechanics.
