Of course not. If someone is visibly holding back the clear due to lack of effort, that should be addressed. The tone at the time of my comment was two people had very harshly responded to someone who made an offhand comment that they didn't want parsers. My "witch hunt" comment was that in this thread it appeared someone made a statement and, in turn, they were slapped across the face for disagreeing by multiple people. Which, imo, is bad for any debate on any topic in a forum.

The long and short of my two cents is that a personal parser should be available for those who want it for any content, and there should be optional group parsers for savage and extreme content. People who harass others because of a parser will continue to do so, with or without an official parser, and an official parser won't alleviate or worsen that problem. If I see PFs pop up with "must be able to parse x amount" then I'll just avoid those parties because those people are probably people I don't want to run with regardless. But I don't think an official parser will cause any more of a witch hunt mindset against under-performing players than those who use parsers already have created. (ETA: which from my personal experiences, is not a large problem on my server anyways.)
