I can honestly say in the 2 and a half years I've been playing this game I've never seen a healer kicked for not DPSing or a tank kicked for staying in tank stance (though they do get told to take it off if they're the OT in a trial).

Letting tanks die is nothing in comparison to a weeping girl who doesn't want to tank ever again because she thinks that she sux at tanking (surviability wise) ... for some people it can be difficult being one crit away from death.
