How do people know what gear is BIZ for Savage or Crafting or what the optimal melds should be?

Gear, rotatation and skill of the player are different things. It's nice to have a BiS page, so you know what you should get or not. What I mean is, what if this person with personal parser see he do 900 on his BLM 230, while the one who has ilvl 220 does 1.300. How can he know he's good or not?

For those who care enough to use these -hypothetical- community numbers.

Average Score - 1100 DPS
Low Score - 500 DPS

Anyone who cares enough could see where they fit in on that scale and elect to try and better their performance if they so desired. I suppose ratings for gear types could also be included as a part of the overall data system. I'm not into website construction but there is a wealth of information on the internet for Final Fantasy from Mining, to Fishing, to Gear and so on. This could simply be another resource.

Edit: Optimal or suggested dps rotations per class could also be a part of a resource like this giving ways to try and improve upon what damage a particular person is doing.

Ah I didn't see those just the BiS gear setup, yeah that's good! See, 5 min ago, you totally hated me, now you can have a discussion with me. But yeah, things like that would been great to use if a personal parser was coming out, so they have those # to compare themselves with I guess.
