If I was a bad player and held people ''hostage'' I would leave. I like to respect people who wants to progress or do things on their own way. I would NEVER hold a group down because I simply can't do it good as them. It's unfair and selfish doing so. Respect comes both ways, not 1 way.

The problem with that goes both ways... I had a healer in AV who left because they couldn't do the first boss, I really wanted to help them, and I enjoy helping players who actually try, I don't like lazy players who expect a carry.

Either way, the way you two responded to his posts doesn't put either of you in a positive light and both sides could stand to not lump the other and make it a big "us" vs. "them" issue and I'm not responding to either of you further because you're obviously both worked up over this and with you, specifically, I refuse to cater to your thinly veiled passive-aggressiveness and eyelash batting.

I explicitly said earlier that this wasn't an us vs. them issue, I categorised the reasons that players underperform -

I have been doing some thinking about this. Bad players tend to fit into 3 categories:
a) Bad players that are unaware that they are bad
b) Bad players that know they are bad but are struggling/don't know how to improve
c) Those who cannot be helped ("I pay my sub so I can play how I want even if it means wasting your time" or "The 'elitist' who is actually bad" etc.)

The context of the post was a complaint about the game system (and I regret using the word bad, because it seems insulting, underperforming is a better word) and how we can improve the systems to fix A and B, anyone who does not fit into this category is a perfectly competent player. Really, we are trying to help people, so being called out as being passive aggressive is odd to me
