Harrasment already happens from players who doesn't want parsers or people who doesn't even use one. Pro hint, the people who drags 7 people down because they refuse to get gud.
Ok i was joking when i compared dps listing to FPS kill death ratios. Thise people can handle when they are subpar. Seems like our people cant. Also if i was in a group and was deemed unworthy i wouldnt care not all groups mix well. If its the best option for the group its got to be done. And plus u cant farm a5s a6s over and over the same day with the same group so ur argument isnt valid. But i do umderstand what u r saying

This isn't specifically directed to you, just bouncing off what you said:
Honestly this entire harassment angle is being so overly skewed. People currently harass using parsers, people currently harass without them. The presence and/or absences of parsers won't cause or get rid of harassment. Though honestly I don't think anyone has argued that, though I may be wrong.
Will parsers lead to a spike in harassment? It is certainly a possibility. Will people harass using parser data? Most certainly, they do now, they will if they are made official. But it isn't an all encompassing thing where every parser user is going to go out of their way to harass others and really I think people are focusing too much on it.
Just to bounce off this train of thought further, the implementation of a global parser could also cause a reduction in harassment cases as well since the part of the community that is "Gitgud scrub" when they themselves are the weakest link in an entire group would be muzzled since their poor performance would be reflected openly. Will parsers lead to a spike in harassment? While there are a myriad of different scenarios we all can throw out in the open, we won't know what actually will occur until (if) a parser gets implemented.
That is certainly a possibility to. Which is why this entire harassment angle is getting blown out of proportions.the implementation of a global parser could also cause a reduction in harassment cases as well since the part of the community that is "Gitgud scrub" when they themselves are the weakest link in an entire group would be muzzled since their poor performance would be reflected openly.
A guy comes to me and say; Hey!! Arawn your DRG dps about 300 lower than it should be, mind if I can teach you how to play, rotation and whatnot? Now, was this guy offending me? NopeWill parsers lead to a spike in harassment? It is certainly a possibility. Will people harass using parser data? Most certainly, they do now, they will if they are made official. Many find this offensive, I will say it again.
You are in a room with 10 people, 9 loves pancakes and 1 doesn't. So to make that 1 single guy not feel offended, they all stop eating pancakes.
Get me now? Yes I'm aware many say, you suck etc etc. I get it, many in here in fact get it, so no one needs to tell us, we are well aware of it. What you and some in here aren't aware of (look at my example about a guy telling me about my drg dps) is that those words arent even offensive at all. People just get offended by anything these days.
Excactly my thoughts. Many players who doesn't know why they arent part of a team, get invited to hard content, they all still wonder why. Many of those are those who need to get gud, simply, so if there was, lets say a parser in game and they saw those data/info for themselves maybe they would light up and think; Oh, I was the bad link this entire time, thank god we finally have a parser so I can join those cool groups! yay! Many actually feels this way after some of them got parsers, woop and it's soo fun watching them being so excited, using hours, days to improve with fc members or friends, it's all good. The best part? They improved so much everyone wants to have them on their team and that feeling my friend, is awesomeJust to bounce off this train of thought further, the implementation of a global parser could also cause a reduction in harassment cases as well since the part of the community that is "Gitgud scrub" when they themselves are the weakest link in an entire group would be muzzled since their poor performance would be reflected openly.

Um....sorry I'm at a bit of a loss. I never said words like those were offensive O.o I haven't even argued anything in this thread outside my first post about my vote for a personal parser and my last 2 posts about this harassment thing being blow out of proportions...A guy comes to me and say; Hey!! Arawn your DRG dps about 300 lower than it should be, mind if I can teach you how to play, rotation and whatnot? Now, was this guy offending me? Nope

I think they were just agreeing with you with an example of "what can possibly be harassment but isn't", is my thought xD And how the harassment angle can indeed be overblown.
My poor choice of words, so please forgive me. I never meant to say you find it offensive, many do however find these words offensive. Thats's why many people use the offensive card when it comes to pro parsers or people who in general just parser. I shouldn't have used the word YOU at all so my bad. Please take my excuse.
And this pretty much
My bad of poor choice of words again! So I'm sorry. >.> Super emberased for being a jackass for a second there towards SDaemon, so sorry D:
Edit 1: Because you posted, but yes I do agree with what you said and I do see your point, so don't get me wrong.

Oh ok, their response had me confused. If that's the case then I think we agree (at least on some level haha)
No worries, I didn't see your post until after I responded to Ghislain's.My poor choice of words, so please forgive me.
