No, I would not like an in-game parser.

In most trash pulls, I'm 2nd most aggro on every mob as the SCH. Without healing even once, outside of embrace. In many cases even on the boss I'm 2nd or frequently 3rd, again without using any healing skills. There is some truth in the enmity bar, but I doubt, egoism aside, that I'm out dpsing a melee player especially on a single target. It is just a terrible gauge.

Seems clear to me that DPS meters need to be available for high level endgame content, such as extreme primals and hard raids. There isnt even a good argument against this. You NEED your BEST deeps to even clear the things.

On a related note, I 100% support making DPS roles just as transparent as healer/tank roles.

DPS meters are good and helpful to improve but in same time, like in every aspect in life or game, there is some people that are evil by nature and like to be bad and others do it unconsciously.

With this, there will be always people applauding for such DPS feat and others trashing out the same player accusing of being cheater, just because he/she is better and with more skill than that bad one and won't admit it. Jealousy is bad... what can we do? Sigh...

As for me, I am all for it. If I am not doing well, it will tell me that I need to change something and improve.
But in same time there is those that refuse to listen or change, like ice blms, or smn not using aetherflows and etc...

Except it doesn't have visible effects. Someone using a parser as their justification for abuse does not mean that very person wouldn't be using something else in the case that they didn't have a parser. Abusive people tend to be abusive people regardless of the tool.

I still think the best solution to toxicity is the reporting tool. If anything, I think they need to make it easier to report, such as allowing you to report by selecting a player and having a "report" button there that allows you to choose why, and then snapshots the time, instance, etc. of the report so that the GMs have that information automated and can check the logs.

Replace "parser" with "guns" and this thread mirrors political debates over gun control.

Anti parsers: we need to make it harder for violent people to get parsers.

Pro-parsers: people will get commit violence either way. We need parsers to defend ourselves against them.

Yes, but I would only like a personal in game parser.

I could care less about no parsers/damage gauges in roulettes and DF, but there should be an option for server-side pre-formed parties to utilize them in trials/raids that should be made obvious in Party Finder's menu.

I don't care about roulette dungeons taking like 8 minutes longer. Do people seriously parse those tomestone piñatas?

I do care about DPS-checks not being met in midcore content like primals and having no real in-game way of identifying exactly where the problem is. Story of Bismark EX's life. Sanuwas never die in time. No one is parsing? So, what do? Pick any other primal with a DPS check when it's still somewhat relevant and a lot of people will tell you how frustrating it is to constantly be held back by failing DPS checks that restart the entire fight as a consequence. Identifying where the problem lies in failing DPS checks isn't elitism (especially if you agreed to join a PF with parse/damage figures/whatever enabled), it's progress.

It's not so far a leap to just apply that to any other duty you are in, regardless of difficulty or how new the player is.
