I'm not elitist though and didn't come from WoW. I just want to do better damage in the game and improve how I play. Seeing the numbers gives good feedback. PC users i've known have improved lots due to a parser.
Parsing itself has nothing to do with elitism, I consider myself a very casual player but I am passionate about playing my jobs properly.
My reason for wanting a parser, like the majority of parsing players, is not to rub my results into other's faces or tell them how bad they are, but to measure myself with players that have comparable stats.
I just want to know if I'm doing a good job, and that doesn't end at "We won and didn't die".

Felis catus
May I ask what is the difference between "Yes, I would like an in game parser." and "Yes, but I would only like a personal in game parser."?
@Yeol
Normally parsers can show what you are doing but also your party. I think what ppl are saying is they are ok with something that showns only your performance, for example: your dps number, the abilities you use individually with its crits and damage amongst other useful stat, for healers they hps or even shielding in some games, for tanks their damage and emnity, some parsers in some games can even give warnings of abilities that are to come like tank busters, when to swap...etc .... but you dont see anyone elses.

I'm not against the idea, especially if it could be something that we'd be able to intentionally opt in for during raid finder practice/learning parties. But a concern I'd have even with even just personal parsers is that it might lead to an increase of people playing recklessly in order to increase their numbers. Better parses don't always necessarily equate better play. Like Summoners who spam Ruin III outside of dreadwyrm trance when there's no real need for any other kind of dps surge in the current fight (like the party struggling to meet a DPS check). Playing like that is a good way to be useless if something urgent does pop up and can also take the aggro from the tank. But people already do that to get placed higher on the aggro table so it's probably a moot point.

Thanks for clarifying ^^
@page 131...I have never seen so much positive feedback for parsers on a single page ever...I have to be in a alternate universe lol
