In a word, no. I wouldn't mind it for my own personal use, but I'm pretty sure it would just lead to people acting like 12 yr. olds going "MY PARSER SAYS IM DONG MORE DPS THAN YOU NOOB!!!!!!" "YE WELL, MY PARSER SAYS I'MA DOING MORE THAN YOU YA SCRUB LOLZ!!!!!" whocaresaslongasstuffisdying? "DATS CUZ YR PARSER SUX" "MY PARSER HAS A BIGGER DICK THAN YOU PARSER, LOOSER!!!!" etc etc etc. So, no thanks.

Thread is two hours old and I'm amused at the divide between "NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT" and the "Yeah, I'm okay with this" or "Yeah, but let's do it like this" crowd.

@people who don't want a parser, you might want to read the OP as he's requesting a poll and getting your input via the Like button. Right now there are more people saying "No" in the actual thread itself then Likes in the post the OP would like you guys to use for their poll. S-E likes data that the OP is trying to collate is one of the ways to get that kind of data.

To be fair, as long as a discussion of some capacity continues, you'll get free bumps / exposure to the thread for the data collection so... discuss away!

Will admit pointing out this part of "no side not listening to the OP and commenting instead of liking" brings an interesting light to those particular posters *Coughs*

Overall, I am interested to see how this unfolds as I am most certainly pro-parser and would like to see it implemented without any restrictions.

To answer the OP: Yes, but only if it works for you alone. I don't want people loudly complaining that a certain DPS isn't pulling their weight because they aren't hitting the same numbers as someone else. I've already seen this happening with 3rd party parsers, so let's not give them any in-game excuses.

More people just replying that they don't want it, in the thread itself. I put it as the second post so people who didn't want it, could easily vote that. I just don't understand how 20~40 people can vote yes for a parser and yet only 3 people have voted no. There doesn't need to be an explanation, towards getting a parser or why not to add one.

I'd vote yes and I want to say (or rant?) about the SSS. My BLM is around ilv 215 but can defeat the sephirot ex dummy with around 4 seconds left. Website says my dps is around 1.4k. But I doubt it in field. I might significantly drop because of moving and stuff. What I need is parser on fields not just standing in front of dummy.

Yes, would like a parser to see the dps I am doing. On PS4 we can only get feed back from someone on PC and sometimes the number they give you feels off. Plus if there is an issue, I would like to see where my dps goes up or down so I can improve without having to ask someone on PC to run a certain piece of content with me just to see. Sure they can parse you on a striking dummy, but it isn't tossing mechs at you that will cause a change in dps for me on blm.
