My thoughts on Odin's origin!

I'm by no means a specialist, but something occurred to me just a few moments ago while contemplating Odin's statue.


Could it be, that long long ago during Allag times, Odin was indeed part of some ancient Doman civilization?

It could just be correlation, but I remember well the fact that Domans are not used to the sight of men riding birds as mounts - in fact, they are more so accustomed to horses. Furthermore, all the Doman armor we got to unlock (the one that span between 170-180) had some form of horn adornments for the head-gear.


Am I suffering from confirmation bias, or does the doman sword's design look eerily similar to that of Odin's zantetsuken?

I think it says in the minion's description that Zantetsuken is indeed of eastern origin, that it was a trophy Odin claimed from an Auri warrior who was the first to scratch his armour. It also says this is a popular theory though.

I think you are right though, perhaps if we ever get to visit Doma and the Far East we will learn more about it.

I really want to visit Doma someday, maybe we get a Odin Extreme? Really love the primal/trial <3
But, remember... zantetsuken is, in fact, Odin, not his wielder. Maybe his myth started in Doma, and after his defeat, he always claims a new host and on and on... Maybe he is some sort of Old Samurai-thing from the Far East?

They talked about Odin at the Anniversary live stream. Odin was a warrior from the north (that's all they said as to his origins) who came south to protect Urth, who was an enemy of Allag. In his attempts to protect Urth, he took up the cursed blade Zantetsuken and was turned into a primal.

I think I have an answer to that. I think the Weapon might had been possessed by Odin's desires and personality. Which resulted in the Soul inhabiting the blae. Then when the urban legend becomes pure legend, both Blade and Soul (pardon the pun) became part of the Eikon. With the blade using Odin's Soul as a template to overwrite the wielder personaluty with when they are sundered.

I like the theory that the sword is the actual primal and Odin just the name of it's weilder. Reminds me of Wobuffet, like how his tail is the real Pokemon and the blue thing is just a punching bag.

It's a pretty clever way of keeping yourself immortal if you are a primal. I like to think of this as Zantetsuken just found an infinite life cheat code somewhere. The sword was an eikon sought out by the original Odin to protect Urth yada yada, and because the legend of the sword got so intrinsically linked with that of the rider, all it needs to do now is find someone, temper them into becoming Odin and boom, you got the belief that keeps the primal around because everyone knows the rider and his blade. And if Odin dies? Just find someone else to temper. No one thinks of killing the sword! guns don't kill people, people kill people etc.

And that's why Odin is actually wobbuffet.

In his questline, zantetsuken was stolen from someone in Twin Adder, i hope we get more info or something like Urth Fount Extreme or something.
