    So about this emergency maintenance...

    What did it fix/change, exactly? There was a client update so obviously something happened but there are no notes...only thing I've noticed so far is the "Cure has no effect" glitch was removed. But considering the download was 25 mb or something, I'd assume there was more.

    The frequency of use of the 100 Needles enemy action has been adjusted.
    The following bugs have been addressed:
    A bug wherein the client would crash when naming a personal chocobo.
    A bug wherein items with no affixed materia would display incorrect materia icons and numbers.
    A bug wherein opening the macro bar would cancel a player's target lock.
    A bug wherein an additional message would be displayed when using Cure and certain other actions, stating that no effect took place.
    A bug wherein the stats provided by gear would not diminish when that gear's durability fell to 0%.
    A bug wherein enemies attacking other NPCs would sometimes result in the server crashing.
    That about it

    When you're a low-level caster with 500 HP doing one of those leves that end with 3 cactuars who chain-cast 100 Needles...yeah, there's a problem.
