I don't get how that is a stereotype, it is a legit style of dancer clothing. That's like saying Scottish kilts are a stereotype

That's a problem with Spain. EVERY place knows spain by the bullfight and Flamenco/Sevillanas. This is a culture mostly of the south of Spain, Andalucia, and most of the Spanish poeple do not want be related with this, and don't want to be know only for that. But that's all. Just not the place to debate this.

But it's still a style of dancing gear that is popular, and looks good. The XI version was perfect for the style of dances they did even. Spain is not only known for those things, just it is known for them.

TBH, if they add a DNC class/job, each AF gear they get will most likely be inspired by different stereotypical "dancing outfits", with the female outfit (most of the time) modified to go together with other physical activities such as running or combat.
The only issue as I see it is that it's so radically different from the healing jobs we have now that it'd be tricky to motivate them sharing the same gear... and if one healer job gets separate gear, that makes it "unfair" for the other healer jobs having to share gear ^^;

So since Samurai is pretty much a given, and most likely a DPS. I'm hoping for Redmage//Samurai//Dancer next expansion, as dancer sounds way funner to play as than chemist.
