That'd work (I don't think WoW had that, just a filter for guild types and activities). Good call. Mainly whatever would spare you from having to scroll like crazy just to find one that looks like they put some effort into it.
Don't see any harm in it so why not?, even though the shouting doesn't really bother me it would definitely proved useful having a recruitment list to toggle through with much more detail on each one.
We have other features and even contest atm, but I agree that we could use a FC finder or something along the lines to help new members find a FC of their liking. At the mean time you can post on your server forum and enter yourself in this year's Free Company Recruitment contest if you have anyone talented enough to make a video promoting your free company.
dank meme
I understand people not wanting spam or single player FC's not wanting people asking them to join. Something similar to blade and soul's clan recruit system could work, it has it's own chat channel but you have to actively set it up to make your clan appear on the menu.
I like it and while we are at it, the requirement system should add these features:
- When their members are most active, if you can only raid in the weekend and the FC only raids on Wednesday, this will give the player the knowledge to join or not.
- What kind of FC it is, add a box with PvE/PvP/Casual/Hardcore/Roleplaying.
- If there are Mentors (this is more for newcomers, having a mentor in the FC will make it easier to ask for help) for all DoH/DoL/DoW/DoM.
- How active a FC is with the Golden Saucer.
- If the FC has their own events or not.
- If they own a mansion, stable, airship etc.
There are probably more things that can be added, but these information should help the players alot when it comes to picking their ideal Free Company.
Hello everyone!
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions so far. I wanted to let you know that the dev. team is looking into ways to make it easier for FCs to recruit new members as well as ways for players to find a free company which suits them best.
We'll be sure to pass along your thoughts and feedback!![]()
Seriously the more information we can give the better. Make it a searchable database IN GAME. But hell if they could do this for searching for a company then they would be able to give companies a slew of features that would make them more useful in the first place. I feel the majority of really usefull features are going to be relegated as non-priority due to the limitations they seem to have in adding anything to the game.

Give us the ability to advertise using a retainer outside our house instead of simply broadcasting a message while we are in game.
Has there been any discussion about cross server or even cross data center FC's? With the way current FC's operate, I know that is near impossible, but if it is possible, it would make for an easier way for players to form up FCs for raiding, endgame, or simply cause they want to hang out. Considering that the housing wards seem to be completely separate servers, I don't see it as being difficult for FCs to be setup to cross servers/data center or stay dedicated to one server. It could/would also open up the possibilities for World First Teams to branch out and give them more opportunities to go after world first on more than one server...would mean more sub fee possibly.
