Add a FC recruitment system

So my FC has lost a lot of members as people have gotten bored of content and taken a break and I really need to start recruiting.

But when I'm on I want to be playing the game, not sitting in town sending out recruitment shouts which barely ever get answered.

So I'd like a FC recruitment system. We already have a profile page and people can request to join, but we don't have a medium for players to find the FC other than examining a member of that FC.

In FFXI they have a system called the linkshell concierge. If you talk to them you can register your linkshell (which were more like free companies in ffxi) with details like your active time. Then new players could talk to the concierge and it would bring up a list of all registered linkshells for them to browse through.

It would be nice to have a similar NPC in ffxiv, maybe in the grand companies to help new players find a FC looking to recruit.

I also would like a feature like this. I feel like I annoy people when I shout my recruitment advertisements, and I don't want to maintain a party finder to not have many results. I believe an npc that stands in each of the Grand Companies and shows all recruiting free companies would be awesome. Players could sort by what the fc's are looking for sorta like party finder. I always liked the feature to preview a list of free companies in games.

Having some sort of FC recruiting feature would be a great QoL. Most people dont really know much about FCs unless its word of mouth or they stumble upon them even going to FC websites. I think having an ingame feature would help greatly.

Agreed. We already have a Player Search function, it would be nice to have another tab with "Free Company Search" or something like that.

Instead of Name - Class/Job - Location - Free Company - Language, just replace it with:
Company Name - Members - Housing - Language

Going to the Lodestone to search FCs isn't practical, plus there's no way to know if the FC is still active or how many members log in constantly.

Long awaited feature in this game, countless other MMOs have a guild recruitment system

This would be great. I'd love to be able to recruit without putting up a PF and I'm kind of tired of having to add people to my blacklist because of spammy FC advertisements. I don't do shout recruitment myself because of how annoying I find it when other people do it (once in awhile is cool but seriously do you have to shout every 5 minutes?). Maybe it would also do away with (or at least significantly reduce) the annoyance that is Player Search + Invite.

WoW has this, the guild finder menu I think it was called. The only downside is that lots of guilds with only 1 member would flood the list, meaning you'd have to wade through a lot of spam just to get to the ones actually worth looking at. So I'd say in order for this idea to work your FC must be at least level _2_ and have at least _10_ members in order to post, to keep the clutter to a minimum. Good idea otherwise.

Why punish smaller FC's and make it that much harder for them? Would make more sense overall to add a filter for "Minimum number of players: X" rather than outright block out brand new FC's that would want to use a system like this to grow, imo =)

Or make it so you have to opt in. Single-player FC's don't necessarily want to recruit at all.
