Correction: Only Machinist really has ways to manage movement. Bard doesn't get anywhere near as much freedom as Machinist does.

I think they have plenty, simply because each cast doesn't take the entirety of the GCD. you can nudge your way out of most things, and repelling shot the rest.

was a bard, miss repelling greatly still as mch, it was at least 50% of all of my positioning. switched because of the dps difference. Getting more with lower ilvl weapon, makes me sad.

Bards have a lot of freedom currently. You can do largely anything at any point without much planning unlike other classes. Leylines for example, would put more limitations around that. MCH for example, once your wildfire combo start, you better commit to finishing it, depending on the encounter you'd actually have to plan a bit around that.
