R/E (Untradable) gear we dont need anymore: give us Company Seals/other!

We got many Unique/Untradable equips we dont use anymore, because we upgraded our gear or simply because we got them after nobody else wanted them (I have weapons for classes I'll never play, for example).

So, how to get rid of these equips?

1. Make them convertible (but PLEASE make so they dont give special materias, but just materias "normal" gear can give too)

or/and

2. Make most of them exchangeable for r/e equips or something else (for example, a quest which gives the possibility to get a r/e lv40 sword called "Blazing Sword" by trading Flametongue* + Warden's Dagger** + Brigand's Acton*** and a second quest to obtain a r/e lv50 sword called "Inferno Sword" by trading the previously acquired Blazing Sword + Templar's Falcion**** + 12 Eye of Fire)

or/and

3. Make them all exchangeable for a lil amount of company seals

Or just sell them to an NPC or discard .. novel idea but it works.

A lot of the Unique gears need to have an upgraded version, like the Templar's, they look rusty

I also think this is an issue, because most of the levels up until now fly by pretty fast, U/U gear becomes useless in the blink of an eye. I think all 3 options proposed in the original post are much better than what we are being offered now. I have a some U/U gear that I can't use again (mainly axes), why aren't we able to turn these into materia?

In the latest interview ithw Jeuxonline Yoshi suggested that you will be able to upgrade certain gear to legendary seasonal gear, so with any luck this is what they have planned for U/U gear.

I'd prefer a storage NPC that switches it out for a key item, like what we had in XI. We're probably going to get that anyway, since they need to find a way for us to keep our gear between now and 2.0.

of course it works, but the concept was to have the possibility to actually make the unused R/E equips useful

+1 to this notion. We should be able to simply convert them to regular materia if anything. I'm guessing they chose not to for future plans, but I wish they gave us some info on this so we don't end up tossing our U/U gear before this happens.
