With 4-star crafts probably on their way, is anybody else a little worried about the upcoming 47-stacks of Maker's Mark they're going to have to blow through in order to save 10-20 durability on each craft?

With the current increase rate of minimum stats require for each starred recipe it is literally impossible to reach theoretical 4-Star minimums with current gear, even with max overmelded i170 gear. This means that they HAVE to release a new set before 4-Star recipes are released. Given these facts, it's safe to assume that the recipes being released in 3.3 will be 3-Star and the absolute earliest we will see 4-Star recipes is in 3.4 (or a 3.35 Relic update). We have plenty of time to dread the amount of steps a 4-Star Craft will take (A couple months at least), but I'll bet we can cut out Maker's Mark and still have a reliable rotation given enough stats.
That being said, the thing I appreciate most about Maker's Mark + Piece by Piece is the fact that they scale with difficulty making Progress much easier to guarantee regardless of recipe difficulty, even if it takes a little longer.
Crafting is my Endgame, and I'm an Elitist.
Maker's Mark is a CP Goldmine though D: <3
4 button macros!!!! ;p
Another fact to consider is that an increase in recipe difficulty has always been accompanied with an increase in item level/new tomestone.
2.0 started off with 1 and 2-star recipes
2.2 [soldiery tomes, second coil] introduced 3-star recipes
2.4 [poetic tomes, final coil] introduced 4-star recipes
3.0 started off with 1-star recipes, with 2-star recipes being added in 3.05
3.2 [esoteric tomes, midas] introduced 3-star recipes.
Looking at the way SE has handled the introduction of crafting recipes, it's fairly safe to say that 3.4 will bring 4-star recipes, with 3.3 bringing in more 3-star recipes.
We'll have another 4-5 months before the increased amount of Maker's Mark stacks
I personally don't have much of an issue with the amount of stacks, but I can see how it can become more of a timesink in 3.4, for crafters who make more stuff than I do.
I look forward to it honestly.
Yeah, it takes forever, but man those whistle while you work stacks are going to be chewed through quick with so much makers mark. <3
If only you'd only exaggerated it to 37 I'd quote Clerks...
We're @ 16 right now, it's not going to go up by nearly that much. If it went to more than 19 I'd be surprised.
Those should be 25. IIRC the formula is Difficulty/100, rounded down. So a recipe with 2584 Difficulty, which requires 2584 Progress to finish, will have 25 Maker's Mark steps.
To be fair, those are housing items and you probably don't need Maker's Mark for those.
