How picky are you with how you make your character?

I spend an age in creation and have liberally used Fantasia even to stay the same race but vary my look more than can be achieved via the aesthetician, which I use quite a lot, personally I just fancy a change every 1-2 months, it's even worse now I am at the level and can afford multiple glamour so my look now needs to match my outfit(s) .

Picky to a point, the hair is whatever until they implement locs,twist or cornrowls for males.

I'll be after a specific look when i make a new character in anything, and depending on the creation system can spend hours on it.

XIV is realitvely simple with its limited fixed options so it doesnt take too long to make what im after, since i can snap options quickly as i have a preformed idea.

I wont change anything after though so i do have to make sure its right first time.

even being specifically picky i can be done in about 15 minutes in the XIV system.
Black Desert tho, that takes me 3 hours +

VERY picky. Couple that with the crappy customization this game has (The ONLY 2 races that can be bald are Hyur Highlanders and Roegadyns. Really?) and it comes as no surprise I've spent around $100 on Fantasias just to get my guy looking right (Oh, yeah, and the aesthetician only does hair and makeup and not skin. Maybe one day Squeenix will come out with a tanning booth >.< ). Even "lesser" games like Runescape had more options, and it's only $7 a month.

I can spend hours in the character creation, keeping notes of my choices, then I make them to see how they look like ingame and then delete them and redo them if I'm not satisfied. Sometimes look in character creation and ingame are not exactly the same hence checking how they look like ingame, or other elements like light can make your character different then what you had in mind. Though once I make a final choice I rarely change it after.

I can usually put together something fairly quickly, usually about 30 minutes, but I'm never satisfied the first time around. I will need to make adjustments after having the character in game. Skin tone is a big one (really wish they'd let us adjust that with the aesthetician!) but sometimes I decide I don't like the way a hair looks, or the height of a character. I started as a lala, but hated the way they walked and didn't like everyone looking down at me during cut scenes, so I changed to a Au Ra. I enjoyed the Au Ra and thought she was adorable, but she looked like everyone else, just horns instead of cat ears, so I changed to Roe. After a couple of minor adjustments, I'm completely happy with her, and don't see me changing any time soon.

I did make an alt to try out Highlander, and had to fantasia after a couple of hours because I could not handle their run. So I have two FemRoe's now, one from each clan, and I love them both.

yeah, the bald thing irks me. I wanted to have my old female hyur have a cool shaved head haha.

I am very picky with how my character looks, i will literally spend hours tweaking and trying different things, and depending on the MMO...I have even gone so far as deleting characters after playing for a few levels just for a small thing that would irk me.

I spend a lot of time in character creation and at the aesthetician. Even have lots of characters saved for when i change races.

I think I'm comfortable with my current hairstyle and hair color. Before when I'm a male highlander it's hard to find best hairstyle and hair color lol.

Agree on this. Male highlanders really have very few options for hair etc that look good on them. And dont get me started on the eyebrow issue as well...........
