When are we going to visit the smaller islands around Erozia?

Title says it all. We all know that the expansions going to hit soon and we'll be leaving Erozia once Ala Mhigo is liberated. But what about the surrounding islands around Erozia? We haven't visited those yet. What about the island south of Limsa Lominsa? Cieldalaeh. Or the islands east of Ul'dah? Mazlava and Theuean. Please Squire, before we move on to bigger things at least let us see ALL of Erozia. Isn't anyone else curious about whats down there? After playing the game for 3 years, it just feels so wrong leaving this continent behind without seeing all of it.

In case you've missed it somehow, you've already visited the Ciedalaes at least once — Hullbreaker Isle is part of the archipelago.

And in the last quest of the level 60 ninja storyline,

you also travelled to an island in the Ciedalaes to rescue Yuki from the Truehounds.

There were also seasonal events back in Ver1.0 that took players to other islands in the archipelago.

But, of course, I know what you're really looking for is the chance to explore actual areas rather than one-off instances. It'll be nice for sure, but all things in good time. There may or may not be plans to add such areas in future expansions, but even if there are, S-E would not be able to talk about them right now.

I imagine, with the way things have been setup regarding Yda and Papalymo, Ala Mhigo and it's environs (possibly parts of Garlemald) will be the next "big step" for us as far as new areas go. I wouldn't be surprised if that includes the islands south of Ala Mhigo, since AM looks like it's got at least some access to the eastern coast of Eorzea.

I also wouldn't be surprised to find some Garlean influence there. Control of shipping lanes and all that.

Maybe we'll get to see some of those Limsan pirates in action, raiding Garlean ships. Would be interesting to see what Garlean seaships look like, I can't see them being made of just wood.
