And that's fine, so 10k every 2 weeks is literally nothing for someone who logs in daily. There are, however, people who quite literally log in once every housing cycle to stop the system from purging their plot, and that is wrong.i log in everyday i used it as an example, do i go into my house daily?? nope lol my house is right beside a mmarket board so use it for quick access to that lol... i worked my butt off for my house so ill do everything possible to keep it even if i get busy in real life :3 its not our fault SE failed big time on housing availablity why should we be punished due to thier failure

How on earth do you know whether people have houses or not? I own a FC house and used to own a personal house on my old server and I still don't care about the timer nor would I care if they made it shorter.funny how the 1s without houses are suggesting shorter reclaim times, house owners paying more blah blah... op wants us paying rent for houses we already own.. should we throw in water rates and electricity aswell ?? even if i cant log in much due to real life i still sub.. so id make sure even if i can only play 1 day a month 1st thing id do is make sure my house is safe lol
Not really cause I posted this earlier (along with another poster some where in this thread)
I think the main group that against housing timers and stuff are the people that want to take "breaks" or use their house as some sort of trophy and never enter it.

How about no.
How about we all just put the responsibility for the problem right back in the lap of SE where it belongs.
We all pay the same sub fee and we all should have access to the same features in the game, including housing, without the jumping through hoops to pay rent or log in at a certain time or whatever. When you obtain gear or items, or mounts or minions in the game, do they disappear when you take a break from the game? Of course not. Your character and progression are exactly how you left them whether you log out for a day, a week or a year.
Housing should be the same way.
The bottom line is that SE royally screwed up in the very beginning with the housing feature, and they just need to fix it so that everyone in the game has equal access to a plot of land if they want it. If that means instanced housing, so be it. SE has proven that if something is broken beyond repair, they will do whatever it takes to fix it and make it great. Let's see SE give the same treatment to the housing system.

How is housing and minions related at all? Everyone has an equal opportunity to earn the minion, but once housing plots are full that is the end of the line unless one happens to go inactive and free or one is sold at outrageous prices.
It would be incredibly simple to make a small amount of money for a rent fee which would provide many benefits. I feel like people with houses in this thread are just happy they got to the plot first, and could care less about anyone else. It's that bias viewpoint which is stopping a lot of people from understanding how much this would help, and how little effort on their part it'd take.
Invest a bit more thought into it besides "omg they want my money!! omg I can't go inactive and keep an empty plot with my name on it!!"

It seems like you missed my point.
The point is, if there were housing plots available for everyone from the beginning (like everyone can obtain gear, minions, mounts, etc) then everyone would have an equal opportunity to partake in that part of the game and there would be no issues.
Again, the bottom line is that SE needs to fix the mess they made with housing so that all players have an equal opportunity to play that part of the game.
Maybe invest a bit more time to read what I wrote.

The money isn't the issue, it's the annoyance of going to that NPC to pay the rent, keeping track of when you last paid, and that 45 day reclaim is pretty quick to begin with, the 2 week suggestion is horrid.
Then there's the core of reclamation that shouldn't exist; basing it on game activity instead of account activity. If someone isn't paying to play the game any more, that should be the basis, not going in the front door or talking to a NPC in game. See the thousands of threads on need/greed in dungeon loot. "It's not fair that they get to roll need when I would do something that I think is more important than their glamour/desynth/GC seals. What I think is more important is all that should matter to anyone." This comes down to the same argument, "They aren't using the house the way I think they should, so I deserve it more."
