Part of me suspects RMT hijacking but that is just because 1.3 billion gil is a highly unlikely amount of gil for someone to have without RMT, but I won't jump to conclusions

Nah its a bluff. He probably wanted people to be like" WOW MUCH GIL MUCH WOW". But realized he has little to no credibility and way too many loophole. If I were the hacker and I had that amount of time to transfer 1.3B gil over to my account, I would've converted all his equipments to materia.

Claims to have lost 2 mansions lol, I wouldn't waste my time if i'm not getting anything from relinquishing my land, unless its a FC house that you lost on a alt, even so this requires time. How were you away for THAT long for him to sell 2 FC houses, transfer 1.3B gold (you can only send/mail 1million at a time). I read somewhere in your old posts that your FC was made with close people, how was the hacker online for that long for them to not realize it isn't you and notify you?

Zodiak isn't a server with an absurd demand for houses unlike tonberry (I have some Na friends in zodiak), No one exactly pays to relinquish land there. Besides why do you own 2 mansion, 3 including the FC house? If you have 2 houses in order to make profits out of having multiple airships you could’ve settled with a Small house, so why two large? Why do you have to specify “ two mansions” ?

Lastly, don't pretend you don't know how retrieving of account works here, you've been playing this game at least for 2 years since you have some old minions and the gilgamesh & nanamo veteran reward.
