Ishgard is purely a matter of status. The population is predominantly Elezen, and they are pretty much the ruling body of the region. That's a matter of status.

1 mixed race NPC out of hundreds indicates they are incredibly rare. Also, you don't really know whether there are other complications in having a mixed child, that would significantly reduce the chances of a successful pregnancy. Personally, I agree with Graeham and think it is a rather superfluous idea. There are much better things SE can focus on customisation-wise.

Or should they begin throwing in half lalafell, half au ra, half roegadyn, half miqo'te and all permutations thereof? Why stop at half-elves? After all, we know that hyur and miqo'te can mix.
