    Big differences.
the devs are hired to make products that people will buy. Though you can argue its the development teams "art" its not always the case. I think yoshi is kind of half way in that aspect, he is making it so it will sell, giving us what we ask for, but hes trying to do things he likes too.

Of course you cant say this about all devs, some of them are in it to make money ::cough same call of duty every year ;;COUGH

i have a shop around the corner from me, you could call it a "local corner shop" when i go in, me and the shop keeper know each other by name. we have conversation and on time to time i have suggested thing he should sell. the point is he respects me and i respect him, but that don't change that fact that he is there to take my money for a product i need or desire

ppl that think you don't need to show some1 respect, for what ever reason they justify to themself. are the reason the world is going to pot

What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.

Lol, Love the title, could be perfect for an expansion. Not sure if they will be introducing FFXIV 2.0 as an expansion like rise of the zilarts, but FFXIV: Rise of the Pheonix would be completely cool as a title, especially with all the primal battles.

I've said it before and I will say it again. Yoshi took a game that I was so angry with that I had completely sworn it off only three months after release. I litereally felt like someone had mugged me in an alley and stole my wallet with my 2 CE purchases (me and wife)...

Even when the reigns were handed over to Yoshi and he started promising changes, I scoffed and bolted. I kept an eye on things however, logging in occasionally, and realized with 1.19 and 1.19a that this Yoshi dude is true to his word.

I think the OP hit the nail on the head. At this point, I really do feel sorry for people who won't be coming back. I think they will miss one of the most phenomenal transformations of an online game, ever.

Yoshi P has made me hopeful and nervous at the same time. I was one of those who were really excited for a more sandbox FF title and was afraid Yoshida would strip that away. And maybe in some ways he has. However with the road map given to us on the 2.0 page and pdf's I feel that it's a sacrifice I can live with and more then that but actually really look forward to.

I went from slowly distancing myself (TOR beta weekends helped a lot I have to say) from logging whenever I have a free minute. I've left my old linkshells because I felt I was not contributing enough, but now just made a new one because some of my friends actually came back last week. I don't know if this is a temporary exultation based on the high of excitement. BUT at least it is another beginning.

So thanks Yoshi P for being more forward with us then any FF Online team ever and keeping the dream alive. Last thing I want to say is, I really hope those Inn rooms can be decorated and carpentry gets furniture recipes. You'll have me until 2.0 for sure if that's the case. ^.^

At this point there isn't much to make the people that left come back but with 2.0, if they play their cards right and market the hell out of it then for sure it will bring a lot of attention. That's why i want to give Yoshi-p some support and make sure that they get all the positive feedback from us they need. 2.0's success mean a lot more players in game and a lot more fun for you and me.
