With the system we have now I can't see blue mage in without absolutely butchering the class.

Yoshi-P expressed some concern over doing it that way because the fear of people getting kicked for not having a certain spell that's really good. I'm not personally against that sort of behavior, but I understand why he wants to avoid it. IF they add blue mage, the abilities will most certainly be tied to job quests, "hey adventurer, you killed that powerful monster and absorbed it's power in to yourself to learn a new spell themed after said monster! GG!" You get the idea.
The egi glamour system is where my idea from blu came from. People would still keep the feel of blu, not the true blu... but would still be learning spells for your own preference. Original blu would already be hard to place into the game bc of debuff purposes anyways. Most mobs are immune to the good debuffs as is...so even rdm would have a terrible time being placed into the game with that current problem.
The system doesn't really even have to be a true glamour system. If you just take each monster spell that you can learn and put them into tiers. Each of the tiers can have their own potency that they can slot into place over another ie bomb toss be 100 potency and you can place water bomb 100 potency in it's place. Also, you'd be able to bc they're both AoE's. Now granted, doing it this way you'll have that player base that will complain and argue that you can only use certain pre-picked abilities and that's not the true blu as well...that's why I proposed a glamour type system instead for those that just want to use all goblin based abilities for example.
