    Leve grinding without the run

The hoarding system is great in that it allows you to plow through tons of leves at once basically turning them into repeatable quests from other MMORPGs. The thing about repeatable quests that it lacks is the convienience of the quest NPC being on location.

Instead of accepting what amounts to delivery quests from Ul'dah to turn a pile of materials into something Camp Horizon needs, the pile of junk should be at the camp already. Interacting with the crystal or NPC at Camp Horizon would then allow you to repeat the leve indefinately saving the step of traveling back and forth to Ul'dah every time. The same can be done with battlecraft and fieldcraft leves.

If I want to spend my 50 leve quests grinding pugilist in Nawana Mines I should be able to do so without the time-consuming step of travelling back and forth every 3 quests.

With the new system allowing focused leve usage and becoming what amounts to the equivilant of repeatable quests in every other MMORPG, the next step remains to add the convienience of this repeatable mechanic by removing travel and allowing on-location acceptance of leves.

Agree! I have a feeling this change will make it in eventually.

just do company leves as you can accept then right at the camp that the leve officer is located. You get more xp per kill from mobs, but the protect missions can get pretty difficult sometimes.

That's not really viable for crafting though

    I do like OP's idea

That works for battle classes, but trades are left in the cold. As someone who recently started slogging through DoL/H levels I know too well how much time is wasted on traveling for leves for those classes. Around 25, the exp returned just wasn't with the time investment.

Being able to just accept leves at the camp would make a world of difference.

This is a workaround - not a fix. If they would implement a system for leve's on camp it would open up the variety of leve's that can be done. Not just for battlecraft. Also try to keep in mind of people that do leve's duo or in a group, that want the full exp bonus. It'd be better to pick up the leve's all together there, rather than have to tele spot to spot because of the different companies/ running back and forth from town to camp spots. It goes back to same issue, traveling becomes boring while you already want to be done with leve's.

I could see this change being implemented. It's not like we can't just contact the AG via linkpearl like, "Did you send the goods? No? Send the goods. I'm on chocoback to the camp right now." It would certainly help legitimize the new binge-and-purge option of playstyle for leve-grinding, as well as make it a lot more user-friendly.

    Great input; +1

Exactly. The changes made to the leve system were definately user-friendly, and looking ahead I think extending this trend would lessen the tediousness of grinding and possibly open some wallets. I think players enjoy challenging content, as opposed to a challenge of thier patience.

Currently you can almost do this for in-town locals, but it's not quite balanced across classes. I can do WVR leves in Ul'dah almost indefinitely without leaving town, but I know my LTW won't get the same treatment in Gridania once I cap WVR. Shouldn't it be the same? Implementing this suggestion would, as a side benefit, make this more fair across DoH classes.
