As far as my headcanon is concerned? I like to think that, just like there is a confirmed "Simpsons Bubble" for time, there's also a "Hildibrand Bubble" for canon. When a Hildibrand Bubble is created, it creates a nascent space that is within, but without, Eorzea. What happened in Eorzea happened in the bubble. However, what then happens in the bubble doesn't necessarily happen in Eorzea.

For example, Ul'dah unleashed the Traders' Spurn on Sil'dih and claimed it was their doing all along. That historical fact was brought into the bubble. Surviving an explosive to the face that then results in you falling into the ground from so high that you penetrate the soil and are buried up to your waist? Does that leave the bubble? Probably not.

Another example, prayer + crystals = primals. This was brought into the bubble. Gilgamesh wished for his friend back next to a box of crystals and summoned Enkidu. Did Urianger freak out about primal waveforms the next time you showed up? No. Was Enkidu any less a primal because he didn't follow the out-of-bubble laws within the bubble? Not at all. (He really does technically count as a primal within that bubble; it's confirmed.)

Hell, most of the holidays happen in Hildibrand Bubbles; think about how many kabuto enthusiasts you've met "this year". The lore team does the best they can to blur the edges of the bubble. You might not even notice the bubble is there. But sometimes, that membrane really, really matters, lol.

I'm just going to assume in advance that there is now a Yo-Kai-themed Hildibrand Bubble.

If what you say is true, then perhaps this event will be brought on by Gigi. it seems to make sense to me. Consider that Gigi himself doesn't really 'fit' in Eorzea, yes he fits completely for final fantasy and such..but he doesn't look like an Eorzean. If he were to have carried with him this 'watch' and considering he lost his memory stumbles upon summoning the yo-kai by accident, it could be fit into the game in that sort of way. Godbert being the master goldsmith he is, could ultimately be the one who 'fashions' the yokai into weapons. Perhaps we consult Gerolt on a way to 'capture' them similar to the ARR Zodiac questline. They are simply spirits after all. A neat idea if they work it in that way.
