It is and it isn't.

Some people have full time jobs and do other things in game BESIDES gathering and crafting. Others do not. So while I have all Master Books for crafting and have the ability to gather most things that sell, I have to deal with undercutting by those who can craft more and watch the MB 24/7. That's not a gripe; it's a fact. I watch friends of mine who don't work, hawking the MB in order to undercut the person who undercut them to have that person within minutes, undercut them again and have my friend ... you get the idea. Rinse Repeat. Rinse repeat.

I got into a war like that on a market item that had been since day one selling in the mid teens to 20k per item HQ. After duking it out with another player for a few days, you can now buy that same item HQ for under 6k. That was 3 weeks ago! And that market STILL has yet to recover.

So yeah. You can make money with relative ease in this game, but it is by no means THAT EASY. And again, some people want to do the CONTENT of the game. Not just craft and gather for 9.99 to 20$ a month. That's not why they bought the game. It needs to be fair and equal for ALL player types.
