I expect land plot prices to at least double, current pricing reflect the economy as it was years ago. Since then the average Gil per player has increased substantially. I don't think this will fix the housing Mafia either, there are players out there who would spend 250 m on a large just to get someone to relinquish. There are only 3 larges per ward and you're up against thousands of players, many whom already pay over what they're worth from the server via reselling exploitation.

This person is right, it really easy to make gil in the game, especially if person has their crafts/gathering jobs leveled. So if a person really puts their best effort forward they easily have enough for a medium house easily. I'm kind of a slacker though so I don't make as much gil as I could but I bought a medium house and had the gil made back in like a week.

All the more reason to just allow direct selling... Pay the seller and get the house instead of paying the seller to demolish then having to pay for the lot as well. Plus, it would allow people to just go around buying houses, decorating, then selling a furnished house that looks incredible to someone who otherwise wouldn't have been able to do such a miraculous job at it.

Twinbros, you're going to leave ff for "fucking" its players over on housing, and are going to go back to WoW, just because of housing? wow has had a long and illustrious career of royally screwing players, and over things that were a LOT less trivial than housing. housing is nice, but it doesnt affect your gameplay, or screw you from being able to raid. But please, if you're going to rage quit because of housing alone, don't let the door hot you on the way out, and see you in a ciuple months, you'll be back.

Let's face it. Housing could be anything for a player's point of view. But for SE and game economic, housing serves for one sole purpose- recycling Gil. There are millions of ways you can earn Gils from the game, but very few way to be recycled back to the game. Consequences are inflation. If the dev team doesn't do anything about it, all players' Gils will become merely useless number one day. Then the only way to buys thing for a player not willing to quit theirs real life for farming would have to go RMT. For the sake of a healthy game economics, I don't think raising the housing price is a bad idea. I'm a relatively new player to this game and community. One of my goal is buying a house and I barely having 2 mil in possession now. But I'll support SE in any price tag they are going to put on the new housing because it's going to benefit me in a long run.

I just don't understand why housing wasn't limited to one house per account and one house per fc in the first place. That would have stopped the real estate market before it began.

No, it would have barely dented it. Most of the flipped houses were not bought with alts.

Ah well, it appears I am too late anyway... Everything is bought up right now in all cities. Typically I could find one small or medium, but alas. I really dislike the black market housing too.

You're not too late. They haven't added the new wards yet. Just be ready to jump on a new plot when 3.3 hits.

Too late to get in on the cheaper pricing before the new wards are released and the prices are "adjusted".
