    Idea: "Extreme" Dungeons for the Catch Up Patch. Details within.

    So I've been thinking... People have been talking about how end game has become stale and whether or not you agree w/that it had me come up w/this idea.

    **Extreme Dungeons**
    • Dungeons with a higher difficulty than the current expert modes.
    • 1 new dungeon & 1 re-vamped dungeon (in addition to the 2 expert dungeons).
    • They would release on the off cycle of the patch (the catch up patch as many people call it). They would not release w/new Savage Raid tiers.

    **How do you join them?**

    You must create a party for them. They are not in the Duty Finder system nor should they be. They're harder by nature and the Duty Finder system is for unorganized parties for the purpose of pick up, go, and have some fun.

    The purpose of an Extreme Dungeon is to be organized, to chat with your friends / discuss strategy, to not over pull, and to avoid mechanics for the entire party even on trash (something beyond the typical cone or circle telegraph found in experts from trash).

    To summarize, the purpose of these dungeons is to illicit socializing among the group of people who play enough to be bored w/grinds but not enough to want to attempt Savage. Of course, all players are targeted though.

    **Boss fights? Mechanics?**

    Due to it's higher level difficulty there doesn't necessarily have to be the traditional 3 bosses to obtain loot. You could do NPC guard quests, a dynasty warriors style dungeon where you have to worry about what to kill and when before your NPC army is taken over, a puzzle like WoW's Karazhan Chess Game, and etc.

    All can be hard, but not necessarily a trash fight or a boss fight.

    As for bosses? This could be an opportunity to utilize a no-aggro PvP style battle with NPCs that either mirror your group's class roles. Meaning melee dps = melee dps NPC, tank = tank NPC, etc. NPC Jobs are randomized.

    **Rewards?**

    It's during the catch up patch so the following could be good.
    • Extra lore. Weekly bonus of 75 (do *both* once a week to get the bonus). 50 (or 45) lore per dungeon run.
    • Drops expert gear *but* it's dyeable. Currently, expert dungeons drop green undyeable gear. This gear would be dyeable.
    • Rare accessory drop (5-8%). Sometimes, it'll rarely drop an accessory equal to the strength of a lore ACC. Super rare (0.5-2%) could be in between lore / savage accessories at ilvl 235.
    • 1 unique glamor item wearable by all classes.

    These rewards would not take away the purpose of the expert dungeons.


    Well, that's it.... Just an idea I think would help alleviate the current stale nature of the game. Would like your feedback!
