Mmm, just saw a Polygon update and it mentioned this event is going to be Japan only? Would like to think they just got the information wrong but wouldn't shock me either.
These will be available to players of the Japanese version of Final Fantasy 14 as part of an upcoming event. Japanese fans will also be treated to Final Fantasy characters appearing in the next Yo-Kai Watch game on 3DS. A Chocobo and Moogle will get the collectible Yo-kai treatment, becoming Chocobonyan and Mooglinyan, respectively.
I blame the loss of the 3rd dungeon for this. People were really spoiled by the 3 dungeons per patch thing in 2.XIts like the only thing in the world mentioned was the Yokai-Watch collab, all that other content? It was just an illusion, all make believe!
They play the same tune every time, they spot one thing they don't like, they cry and moan and say SE are being useless and not giving them anything when its clearly been outlined they are adding quite a lot to 3.3....
It really boggles the mind >.<
I feel that's justified because you would think that 2 dungeons would mean more work would go into them (longer, more pathways, etc), but instead they're just the same (farm tomes ASAP. Nothing else). But with one less dungeon.
I'm inclined to agree that they got the info wrong. If only due to the simple question how "how are they gonna gate the event". The 7/11 stuff was Japan only because of the fact that you had to buy actual products there, though still a little possible due to the toy angle, nothing from what I read implies anything of the sort, (and bear in Mind that the 7-11 thing was also introduced via a Live event and also gave the detail of buying products to get them).
