true but yokai is a kids game lol ever watched the cartoon?? obviously target audience is pre teens lol would of rathered yokai was the japan exclusive collab and we got the 7-11 1 or whatever it is XD yesh i brought n played the game gave it to my 6 year old niece after an hour.. she loves it tho so all good lol

As a fan of the franchise, I absolutely have watched the anime. I'm certainly aware of the target audience, but in all reality there really isn't such a thing as a "kids game" when it comes to major video game franchises. These games are made for everyone and are particularly friendly to kids, but they're not made solely for kids and kids alone. Adults definitely can and do enjoy Yo-Kai Watch, much like they do with series like Pokémon.

There's still a major lack of understanding among players regarding the 7-Eleven promotion. It's not an event like Yo-Kai Watch, it's merely a promotional tie in. It's not much different than obtaining a serial code from a soundtrack or artbook. The 7-Eleven items are coming to the rest of the world in a similar manner soon and just happen to be associated with 7-Eleven in Japan and Japan only. The YW collaboration is an event being applied to all servers. XIV is an international game and as such has to remain consistent at all times. There will never, ever be a Japan-exclusive collaboration event, so there was no trade-off to be had.
