To me, it was just...MEH.
Some slides were dedicated to just talking about how they're going to be adding new quests (isn't this practically a given for any patch) and the monotony of content release has gotten so bad, I can't really bring myself to be excited about the two dungeons and mhach raid.
There's very little detail about palace of the dead and aquapolis, so I'm cautious about it given their track record with ranked content and fluff content (feast, LoV, etc).
The only thing that really caught my eye was the raid finder, but even then I'm cautiously optimistic in that it'll help players who are in small servers get groups/statics together without having to resort to transfers (leaving for more dead servers).
Also this. FFXIV is starting to become more of a fantasy kitchen-sink than a final fantasy game to me lately. Something like Hildebrand is enjoyable because of it's place in an otherwise fanstitical setting. Once that starts to become common-place and in-your-face excessively, it starts to lose that identity in the first place and just feels like it's overstaying it's welcome.
