this is not the end of HW MSQ, it's the "final chapter of the Dragonsong War".

after this is still the Warrior of Darkness (Ascians) storyline and the Garleans in Azys Lla storyline, the latter of which should eventually reunite us with Yda and Papalymo which jump starts the expansion and the liberation of Ala Mhigo.

watching people get upset about the yokai watch crossover was really funny, half of them were the same kind of people who would have an au ra ninja named after a naruto character or something, but they couldn't understand why square would choose to do something that doesn't specifically cater to them.
I think from a marketing standpoint, we all have to remember that we in the west are second priority. The Japanese audience is the largest so most marketing decisions target them before anything, and this is definitely no exception. Even if we don't like the anime series or the games it doesn't really matter because a lot of the JAP audience that played those games are probably really happy with the crossover, and are happy to see the FFXIV minions in yokai watch 3.

true but yokai is a kids game lol ever watched the cartoon?? obviously target audience is pre teens lol would of rathered yokai was the japan exclusive collab and we got the 7-11 1 or whatever it is XD yesh i brought n played the game gave it to my 6 year old niece after an hour.. she loves it tho so all good lol

While I can't speak for that part of the name, the Japanese name is a bit longer: 'Heavenly Dragon Palace Sohr Khai'.

Nidhogg is one of the heavenly dragons in the game, so make of that what you will.

Ironically, In norse mythology, Nidhogg is under the world tree tearing at the roots. Doesn't Seem heavenly to me

It looks like its going to have something to do with Hraesvelgr. Not sure whether we're speaking to him and his home is attack by Nidhogg's brood and we go to drive them away, the brood took over the place and we fight to get to Hraesvelgr, or something completely different (the golden area makes me think of maybe a weird Echo vision)

It does remind me of him too. They could go a lot of different directions with it so we will just have to wait and see. How about that music though?
