mayb they should make it randomly drop some kinda mount to keep it active for longer

I'm actually fairly excited for this.
Feast is pretty much a flop in my book, largely due to the matchmaking system.
I'm excited about this, i just wish that GC won't be involved this time.
Well this is interesting.
Looking at the screenshots, it's hard to tell what kind of game mode this will be. With a name like "shatter," I would have guessed that the crystals had something to do with it, but there's far too many of them and they're a little too sporadically placed for that. Allagan tech is definitely involved, though. There seems to be some sort of stargate styled portal in the centre background of the first image. I don't know if that will serve a function or is just for decoration. There also seems to be some kind of broken node in the second image. The fact that the cross-looking thing on the top is lit up and that the node has some kind of circular perimeter area at its base leads me to believe that it will be involved in the objective, but it's hard to speculate on what that objective might be. With a name like "shatter," my best guess is that this mode will involve some kind of Dps race ... Though, that hardly matters.
If it's a 72 man game mode, then it's a safe bet that this will devolve into a cluster F*** free-for-all. If there's something Western Data Centres has proven time and again, it's that the player base is not mature enough to handle simple objectives. Throw in some GC restrictions and this game mode will be a toxic cesspool before it even gets off the ground. New game modes at 60 are definitely a good thing, but I'm not gonna let myself get excited over this until they hand out the details.
I agree. At face value, this seems to be a bad call. Not sure how I feel about this... New maps are always welcome, but I'm really really really sick of them effectively replacing PvP content...
Kinda an odd move to put this in 3.3, too... Feast Season 1 will still be going on, wouldn't it make more sense to release this in 3.35 so it at least sees maximum activity during Feasts downtime between seasons?
Firstly, by doing this during the active season, they're shooting Feast queue times in the foot. That's poor planning. Secondly, they're still ignoring the vast majority of us who have requested an increase in the level cap for old content (Secure, especially). This seems strange, because you'd think that bumping up and old game mode to 60 would be faster and easier than designing new stuff from the ground up (though, this is likely a disclaimer act, to save face for players who don't have Heavensward).
As for their abandonment of Feast. I wish I could say that I wasn't expecting it, but I was. The vast majority of western players are far too salty and immature to have kept it alive. Since it's release, players have done nothing but blame various aspects of the game mode for their losses instead of taking responsibility for their own poor performances. It's sad and pathetic, and this childish stupidity is what will guarantee the failure of all future PvP game modes in this game, regardless of how well they're designed.

feast is a massive failure anyways lol they killed frontlines queues for that waste of time ._. SE really got no idea how to run and keep pvp active.. all they do is add a new mode every few patches n hope for the best ._.
Dude, they never knew how to do pvp. It was a disaster in 11 as well.
imo it's effectively the end of feast. all the problems feast has still exist and overall it's not a good enough mode where new players will come flocking. feast is not going to grow.
and because there's a lack of growth there just won't be enough player pool depth to split between FL and arena.
I know you've seen the posts in here, where teams of silvers are matched against unranked and bronze. Don't pretend this is just an learn to play problem. Yes, there are a lot of learn to play problems, but the biggest issue is, and always has been the matchmaking. The second biggest issue is the match throwers who are still, as of yet, unbanned.
