Improve the playerbase, add a built in DPS/HPS/AoE Fail meter

I'm sure they will. If someone is doing 300 DPS in a place where 1000 is more appropriate, it's only courteous to let the guy know. Something may be wrong, hindering him at that moment. He may not even know he's not performing well!

The 1% of the final fantasy population who think parsers are important need to accept that they are not.Most people play the game for fun. Quit trying to bully other players into your own standards.

I'm by no mean a raider and I do use a parser for every single MMO that I play. I meanly use it to see if I'm performing well enough. Sometimes your sure that your pretty good at playing you class then someone with weaker gear score deal 10% more damage done then you did. Using the parser let me see that I could improve my skill.

When I hear all the hate agaisnt MMo parser. You make it sound like if poeple would bully anyone below 1% of theire own DPS. The very rare time time someone get kicked out of a pug due to low DPS is usualy when they are dealing 60-50% below the rest of the crowd and are either clearly too busy watching steaming video to play or trying to get raid carryed with questing gear.

It's not like those on PC currently running parsers cannot abuse other players ...
You guys really fail at seeing the overall picture. Of course players play how they want to and just want to have fun but there is also some who strive to be their best to help out their group while having fun.

Did you not read? Almost everyone here is okay with a personal parser that wasnt the topic of the thread though the topic was a single paser that everyone in the group could see. which is a horrible idea and will make the community even worse with the added effect of giving console only statics the means to see some numbers that don't matter all that much unless everyone is doing mechanics perfectly during a fight and your stuck hitting enrage because that's the only time DPS is actually an issue.

Meters measure far more than just DPS. It has death counts, standing in fire counts, HPS, damage taken, damage mitigated; essentially it compiles all relevant battle data. For any static, or really any group doing current endgame content, it's a necessity to go from wiping to clearing. There hasn't been one person here who can explain why handing a parse to an otherwise reasonable player would suddenly transform them into an elitist, parse trolling monster. The entire argument against a built in meter boils down to "I fear that my feelings will be hurt in some way at some point". It's ridiculous.

I am aware of that those reasons are the true benefit of those meters however outside of raid groups those other stats don't matter However those effects are not used nor do they matter in any other content yet that big meaningless number that it spits out without context is what everyone and their mother cares about. Giving that meter to everyone will simply increase the amount of morons doing that because as it stands now only a third of the entire populations idiots can abuse it since like 2% of the community uses it for its true purpose. The reason has been staring you in the face if everyone gets the meter then everything become a competition because someone has to come in 1st 2nd and third place which will lead to more people being dumb elitists because now they have a "scoreboard" to point to.
