I'm on the fence about it. Yes, I'd like to see them implement it, but at the same time, nearly every gimmicky side thing has been kinda half-assed in my opinion. If they work on it slowly, I could see it being added at the end of 4.x though. I imagine snowboarding would be our playtime send-off for the 3.x series, which will probably take a lot of work in itself.

Wouldn't be surprised if a section of the Gold Saucer was "Under renovation to add a new sporting arena"

To which I could see said arena hosting not just one sporting event, but many. I'm not opposed to this idea at all. Just fix Blitzball =p

I think it would flop. A lot of people loud about wanting it. But I think the majority doesn't REALLY want it. They just let nostalgia make them think they want it.

Not saying anyone here posting doesn't know their feelings this is just a general feel I get when people talk about this mode.

Even though FFX was the second best selling ff game of all time( source :http://vgsales.wikia.com/wiki/Best_s...are-Enix_games). I dont think blitzball would be implemented properly and would end up like the minion mini game, too much work for people to not play it.

Opinions =/= facts. FFX isn't the greatest in my opinion, but its definitely not bad.

While personally I flip flop on if I find Blitzball fun, currently I think its boring af, I don't know how well it could be implemented into an MMO. In FFX you had control over your characters, but very little control over the annoying randomness. Would you create a group of NPCS? Would you be a player, playing with other players (this would take A LOT of work and be very hard to deal with voice chat/randoms/groups/latency etc.)? Would the numbers be more straight forward and less random? What about blocking (both when thrown and at the goal) and catching? It would be a lot of work, and I don't know if SE feels if it is worth it.

I wish we can get this feature, but, like happened with Lord of Verminion or Chocobo races (Well, this ones have people, but is not the great things), people will forget it soon, making it totally worth. Even if they create tournaments and that.

If they take the blitzball as is on FFX, wil lbe turn based, so, should not be hard to make. But, it is worth? How many people will play it?
