So I have an idea for the game. Customizable Trials/Dungeons.
Details: This would be a thing that will let you set up custom instances against other players, the twists here if that the opponents would be AI controlled and that you can fidle around with Dungeon Mechanics. You can add AI clones (tentatively Dubbed Manikins, like the ones at Fractal) of yourself or party members, and set up their stats on a scale based on Level, iLevel and a Multiplier. With few rewards tied to it. It would be optional content like GS and PvP when it come to raiding.
How to access: You will need a House, a FC and some gil to Buy an Arena. Arenas would be the instanced setting for this type of content and can be customized with furniture special items. They can be accessed from the door in the Houses or a special Area in the Twelveswood or Coerthas, but not the Duty Finder, you ill need a code to input to access instances outside the FC.
This kind of User-generated content would have multiple uses.
The idea however have a few problems
- Training room for Various instances and PvP
- Setting up challenges for yourself or others, such as defeating one opponent of each Job.
- Glamour and Trophy showcase that people will want to go into without feeling unwelcome
- A way to compare how far you have gotten in the game.
Regardless, I felt like asking if you would want something like User-generated Trials/Dungeons in this game.
- Feeling a little too much like PvP
- SSS already covering DPS related problems (and neither not being able to solve what other DPS relate issues remain)
- It would likely take a long time to code, and it might be impossible to work in the content itself (not to mention the related crafted things to go with it)
- Devs probably not that willing let that much creative power in players hand, especially if tomes and gear can be gotten there.
- And people likely ignoring it because it, like Vermillion, is a novility and not relevant to Savage.
