    You do make a good point with this. Although I think the nerfs meant that the handicap wasn't so bad. I don't think this is definitive reasoning against this though, and could easily be worked around if planned in advance.

    They haven't, in fact they all but confirmed the contrary. I started this thread questioning if this method would allow the devs the breathing room in order to achieve the goal of 3 jobs per expansion.

    I feel like it's just easier with how they did it in 3.0.

    I mean sure the jobs they released in 3.0 was a huge strain... R they implying that it wouldn't be a hgue strain another way unless they just didnt release 3 jobs at once? Either awy u slice it, it's a lot of content to pump into a game, as MilesSaintboroguh points out.

    Also as he highlighted, the Dev's need to find a place in the game for a guild which is probably easier to do when u release a completely new zone.

    I feel like what they do now is fine.

    The problem with this is that everyone levels that one new job and the queues become ridiculous for it. When NIN was released, tanks and healers were selling regular dungeon runs because the queues took that long to pop for a DPS. I'd rather have two at a time if anything, and those being separate roles.

    reason they released 3 jobs in heavensward is so it didnt affect df queues to much.. personally id prefer them to release 3 every expansion none in between cause we will miss out on other stuff

    Every class or Job or Extra Job they add has to be balanced against both it's role in PvE and PvP. This requires more than a tiny amount of playtesting. Then there's giving them a skillset that would set it apart from what's already in place so that it feels unique enough to stand out on it's own. And then there's designing the weapon set it's going to use starting from whatever it's minimum level will be all the way to level 60, including iterations for every dungeon, trial and raid. It's alot of work. Little wonder they want to save it for major patches or expansions.

    I kinda agree with the thought but I feel we need to release in a pair first, then release a 3rd later on in the patch because as it was stated if we release a DPS solo times are going to sky rocket, more so if its an iconic one that everyone is begging for. Pair it with a tank or healer role and you soften that blow by giving us a choice cus then those who love to tank (I imagine) will pick up the new one over the DPS job and likewise with healers. If its new, its shiny and exciting and everyone wants to play.
