Except... as far as I know, all male-only pieces have a female-only equivalent. That's the problem. We're not saying "make all female-only items unisex", because several of them (swimsuits, yukatas, EB ceremony outfits) already have male versions. We're only talking about those female-only outfits that don't have a male-only variety.

Oh I see. Your not asking for males to be able to wear female copies. Your asking for male glamours that have similar themes. Well fair enough.

Shame. I really want some less frilly glamours for once and why do males get all the decent coats and vests? /sigh

I would point out also that in threads like this before there have been people who actually want female gender gear for male characters. There are people who have been asking for unisex female for male gear for this topic.

That's not exactly what I said in the post you quoted, but yeah, I'd be fine with that. I'd also be fine if they made some of those pairs unisex/unisex, but I can understand if SE is reluctant to release some of them as-is due to fear of deviating too much from real-life social norms. My main complaint has the entire time been not that there are male/female sets. It's that there are unisex/female sets. Where female characters get two sets to pick and choose from, and male characters get one. They've become better when releasing new gear now, but that doesn't change the existing imbalance ^^; So while I completely understand the whole "I'd like to wear the male-only set instead of the female-only we got," I hope you can see my frustration at people asking for more female/unisex (when people ask for male-only sets to be unlocked for female, without adding in the request for unlocking the corresponding female-only set at the same time).

I'm all for males getting more female sets cause there are a few Male only pieces I would love to get a female version of.

Talismans already have a female equivalent. So does the suit from the wedding set.

Trying to think of other items I see asked for frequently.

This issue isn't that serious. I wish people would stop trying to force or use real life ideals and circumstances to justify anything in a video game that defies logic. The only issue I have with Uni-Sex clothing is that SE won't give us butt sliders so I can pursue my true FFXIV Job and that is to have a big butt and become a level 60 Instagram Model.
