    With the lacking death penalty, which is just a percent of damage to gear and the loss of some time, there really is no feeling of danger anymore. Having a penalty was what pushed some players into fits of anxiety lol which is super funny when you are on voice chat with them.

    I used to get annoyed in 1.0 though, when everything had a ranged attack...Agro a squirrel, ranged attack. Agro a bee, ranged attack. See a dead dragoon in 1.18+...it's probably because he agro'd the floor and it decided to range attack that person.

    I would definately like to see some kinda endgame zone that's more difficult and doesn't have teleporters all over the place with fun quests to do inside. Something similar to FFXI's Eldieme Necropolis or Beastman strongholds. Maybe every raid/gear patch they could add a new zone with new stuff to do inside it so people don't over item level it.

    Yea I agree with you. In those zone where I don't feel like me going through this area would be a bad idea for me I just jump on my mount and just ride on. Like there's nothing to worry about because there isn't anything to worry about.

    It was brought up. And the devs made the 3.0 stuff hp sponges in response. They also made them hit harder, and gave so little exp in fates that people just stayed in North Than.


    Now, that is not so say they can't have areas that are fearsome, they just did it wrong, and made it annoying, not fearsome. At least they eventually made the fate exp worth while, after a good majority had already leveled a class..

    It would be nice to see things like some of the more agressive S Ranks actually rampaging, rather than standing around, waiting to be slapped. And it would be nice to see a couple of areas be more dangerous. But nowadays you have to include good rewards with that danger to make it worth while. Everyone is focused on the tome treadmill and capping that the rewards have to be enough to take them away from it, maybe this is what Palace of the Dead could be. But I would love to see an open world dungeon like that instead of instanced.

    Agree with the OP, even gathering without Stealth just makes me laugh when I die. I'm gonna have to spend 3k to repair? Tragedy.
