i already went over that - basically every job is already a "skill tree" one job isn't better than any other - ppl dont exclude brd just cause it's a bit lower dps than mnk.
there's no "cookie cutter build" for DRG, you just rotate some combos. A skill tree would be no different - You go DRG tank tree, and you get tank skills - aggro combo, provoke, bla bla, and you can tank like any other tank; there's no cookie cutter build for WAR, either, you just use your aggro skills, and rotate CDs. MNK and NIN are "different builds" but they are both valuable.

well you don't need to make each job be able to do each role - like was pointed out earlier, it wouldn't really fit BLM for example - but they could have something like single target build, or aoe build.
Many classes are already suited for multiple roles, such as PLD could be any role, and MNK too.
But yah, it would require a lot of work; it's basically equivalent of 2-3x the amount of jobs.

ya that's ok, but the point was that some people LOVE DRK, and were really upset that it was tank, when they had hoped it would be dps (same with the discussion about SAM, now) So whatever your fav job is, it's probably because of the whole theme. So if your fav job is DRK, but you don't like tanking? then your options are as few as they were before. There's plenty of WAR/DRK who try to skip tank stance as much as possible, to dps more, so it would be nice if you could use your fav job, for multiple roles, instead of having to play a job you don't like, to play a role you like.

ACN has 2 builds SCH/SMN, and AST has shield build, or stronger heals. healers have cleric stance for heal or dps. tanks have tank/dps stance. I'd just like to see them taking the full step, and allow us to be an effective DPS WHM, who can be as good as it as BLM or SMN.
