Level 60 SMN starting from zero with an emphasis on Feast

Hey there!

I main SCH and my alt is a DRK, but I'm interested in playing SMN for PvP since it seems more useful than the others. It's geared with tome gear and greed drops to about i200, but I have basically never played it. (ETA: I did the job quests so I have all the skills. I don't have any idea what to cross-class besides SC and raging strikes, though)

I read the summoner guide down the page and it's pretty overwhelming. I was wondering if someone could distill the relevant information for effective DPS during a PvP encounter like Feast?

I understand that I will need to practice more than anything, but I'd appreciate any tips so I don't punish the people I get matched with while I learn. Thanks!
