I find WHM to be really boring.
I find WHM to be really boring.
Mechanically, I think most are fine, in terms of what they "should" be, though... IDK, Bard or Summoner?
I'll probably go for Bard for now, since Summoner is getting Egi-Glamours eventually and that might change my opinion of the Job... I want Summoner to actually spend its time summoning (specifically, I like the idea Dreadwyrm Trance introduced, having a rotation that takes you through Inferno Trance, Vortex Trance, and so on would be much better than pets IMO), by it is very Final Fantasy to pick a favorite summon and just stick to using that over and over...
Bard though... Ugh... I don't mind the bow, what I hate is the utter lack of Songs... I think it suffers from a broader problem with Jobs in this game in general, specifically the rule of three we have, along with things like dungeon design just being lazy... Things like crowd control being worthless in a boss fight I'm fine with, the strength of things like Sleep always came from the random encounters, but SE does nothing with the trash mobs in dungeons and they do nothing with the layout of dungeons... Ideally I'd like a situation where multiple routes are available, and which you pick is based on what Jobs you have. So perhaps you have a Black Mage or Bard (with a Sleep Song), so you go one route because you can crowd control the trash rather than fighting and skip them. Another run you have a Ninja, so you have them sneak off to grab a key or something... Variety like that is sorely missing in this game...
I think what made Bard worse was Heavensward... Machinist I'm fine having Gauss Barrel, that kinda makes sense, even if the animation doesn't. Wanderer's Minuet though? Why do these two Jobs need the exact same mechanic? That is just pathetic... New level cap, perfect chance to give Bard some more Songs, best we get is Warden's Paean... Granted, that's much better now than it was at launch, but... Ugh... Where are the Songs?
Summoner, but that's mostly because I don't like their incarnation of Smn as a DoT class with a pet as a supplementary dps. In my opinion, a summoner should be about summoning things and the pets should be the focus.
Got to be BRD - loved it to 50 - got WM and hated it thereafter. If I wanted to be a caster would have gone BLM. I got it to 60 in the end but now it just languishes doing nothing. Such a shame that SE screwed the job up so badly in HW.

I hate Ninja. Mostly because I've always despised rogues and other stealth classes in the various MMOs I've played. Here though, I do like the rotation because it flows smoothly, however Mudras can die in a fire.

i think you are the first one who hates ninja and no one hates dark knight so far ^^ it seems most people hate bard and machinist >.>
Oh I hate Dark Knight and it's execution despite being my favorite Tank job to play. I just hate Summoner much more. Summoner just feels so weak and like Dark Knight is an insult to it's namesake.

Bard and dragoon, it requires complicated stuff like dying to a easy mechanic or die the second after getting rezed.

Fishing. Its boring. If you mean battle classes I'll go with Marauder. If I'm wielding a huge axe I expect to swipe multiple foes with one swing, not one target at a time. Need axe wielders like the amazon from Dragon's Crown who hits multiple targets with one swing.
