Well now..for anyone who ever had a genuine heart for the good fight. Won't lie...that line actually made my eyes tear up damn you.
First off..OP, you get a max-sized Roe boobie smother hug for the topic. While its my personal belief that the more malice/ hatred/ rivalry/ murderous intent there is in pvp the more enjoyable it is (human nature is horrible) have to keep reminding myself that at the end of the day its just a game, not a thing more. To that end, I admit Ive had to work on not mouthing off, either in response to something else or when someone whose consistantly low damagewise for w/e reason pops on team. Yeah, its stressful knowing my own arse is on the line because of it but considering how much I screw up myself (since brd days in WD) finding it more...decent...just to switch over to Ls chat and keep me mouth shut. World'l keep spinning just the same.
As for Makado and Roto, you both get slaps of shame. Makado is easily one of the best tanks I've played beside-- back during seal rock, especially in low man matches, always drew fire for the team, and not just the brainless hi, i r tank, hit meh!, but actually pestered crucial targets like a bulldog, letting me breathe. Not afraid to get bloody if it comes to it. Roto, on the other hand, for SOME strange reason, with that teddybear armor/ happy macro at the start of every match...just makes you wanna go over and hug the hell out of him (tf is up with me and hugs tonight? -_-) You both are good tanks and me is happy whenever either of you pops up. And ya Roto, pvp's an exceedingly fickle thing (the alterations to brd's barrage nearly made me quit brd altogether) so whats here 1 day is a distant memory the next. If you can't find another job that soothes your carnal desires, just stick it out with war, even if you have to adapt to playing it from a different approach than what you've been used to. The insanity of solo que has caught a lot of us offguard, but shrug, accept it for what it is and keep going.
..goes back to punching pillow cuz i r about to fail gold promotion....

Thanks, rotokk. I appreciate the compliment. For those who don't know, rotokk/knight wraith was one of the original great wars/mrds from WD. If you saw knight wraith up against you in WD, it usually didn't end well for your team. Personally i would always hate it because all i would ever think was "this guy's warrior is SO much better than mine" and i just didn't know how to make up the difference lol. But that's a digression, and i really just want to help others have a better sense of where he's coming from and where his background lies, and that so many things going on now are making the game not fun for him. I'm certain others as well. Thanks for your kind words and good advice. After I made my complaint post I later regret it and would have preferred to just go gently into the night, Like you say, I also end up getting mad and typing things I later regret and I actually let the frustration and anger get to me, I lose control of myself when in real life I actually teach others not to do the same thing. I end up typing things out at players who dont deserve it, why didnt you pick up the medals!!! etc. I wish I was a better person, and apologizing cant take back those actions.
But again, this frustration would not even exist if it were not for the core of the problem. I could take a loss here and there if it was truly earned. You also play Warrior extremely well - if you want, try playing War in the feast sometime against some high tier players. It just feels like tank is a bystander, a passenger, a witness of the action. I feel truly sorry for those who want to play DRK. I can stick perfectly to the healer and combo them essentially ignored, finally becoming useful when stacks get high at least. I have some skills on a long CD, during berserk i am Slightly dangerous and Full Swing is still useful, but not as useful against experienced players, and Thrill of War and mythril tempest are of course great skills but again, long cooldowns. Without the punch it used to have, WAR just doesnt play the same any more, I feel so nerfed whenever I play. So when i try so hard to win, and then, as the truth is it is a team game, my team doesnt quite make it to victory, and I simply cant carry them, i cant brush it off, I am too worked and amped up, it gets to me. The best choice is for me to play a different game with my time. I dont see why SE decided to reduce tank damage so much. I think, maybe I am wrong, I want to like FF14, but just played another game where I was constantly attacking the enemy team, downing player left and right (despite weak WAR), and my team lost because they cannot pick up medals correctly. I win the next one but the first one just leaves a bad taste for me.
Also in case i'm mistaking your post, rotokk, the last part of my post was not directed at you. But really as an overall statement to anyone playing and others who don't have as good an attitude as you, that we can all work better on our emotions to make the environment a more decent place to play in.
About WD, again, and hopefully it's related to the OP still. WD came, and it died out for a long, long period of time. But some guys stayed around, and ever since I played it, probably 95% of the time everyone was pretty respectful and decent to each other, even though there was plenty of bad play and bad players. Yes there are actual things at stake this time, and from my own personal experience when that happens people really show their nasty sides. But it's my hope that we can weed out some of the really bad attitudes and make it like the WD i used to know. You win, you lose, but you move on. Having a competitive environment and a friendly one are not mutually exclusive.

I ageee with you completely.

I like you too
