I met the person in my signature in ex once, turns out they got banned from the forum D:
I don't think anyone's ever recognized me--or at least they haven't said anything if they did.
I ran into Selli in the Gold Saucer once. And I saw Final Spark a few times before he switched servers.
That's about all I remember. I didn't go out of my way to say anything, since I would have felt super creeperish. xD
I recognized some people (especially since I'm in Gilgamesh) sometimes in DF, but I don't say anything since it's weird (they might not even know you)
I do get a lot of "you're name is familiar" of "do I know you from somewhere" from others.
Yeah I've been recognized a few times, both in Duty Finder and just running around on my own server (a couple of people on my friend list are from that). I've run into Miles Saintborough (I think in Diadem?) and an FC mate ended up in a dungeon with Selli. I've seen a few names in Frontlines that were familiar as well, but didn't really say anything.
Happened to Ghishlain and I, a while back during an Alexander run - DFed into what I believe was A2 with an FC mate or two and we recognized each other. I was too in a state of "wait, isn't that? o________o *Starestarestarestarestare-derps in FC chat to another FC mate that frequents the forums about it - then notes that everyone in the party is running off*" to notice that Ghislain had been speaking to me... rofl |||OTL *Ultra-derp*
But yeah.... slight state of "naw, it couldn't be o.o" disbelief on my end, but it happened.
On a roulette DF run, into Hullbreaker Isl several months back, I recognized Edwin Li. I was on one of my 4637850 alts, though, so not recognizable.... I didn't want to seem creepy, so I didn't say anything (though, maybe that in itself is creepy....? ionno...).
andmaybeyou'llneverknowwhichpugIwas *Maniacal laughter*
and lastly, it's happened to me, where someone recognized me - I was sitting in Gold Saucer, back a little after (or was it slightly before?) HW hit. I'd posted my Au Ra in the forums in the Au Ra thread, from the character editor they had in the benchmark ---- someone recognized me from that thread (I didn't recognize them, though... x.x). o_O Kinda surprised that I'd somehow stood out, at all, to be recognized. I'm not very good at speaking with random people so it was a little awkward on my side (sorry! T^T).... I ended up whisked away since a queue I'd been in had popped, though.
Other than that, there was one other person that I saw running around in open world, a few times, but I can't remember who...
Oh, I forgot- I see a lot of people from Balmung when on my alt, but I doubt they would recognize me right away (though the name is similar so)

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
I had people in DF recognize me often. It feels weird.
I've noticed a few people on my server who post here, like Layla who just posted above me, and Plague Doctor. Just names you kind of see around.
Only once did I end up in DF with Envangela Monterossa and I was mildly terrified that I would mess up because I know of her from here but idk if she recognized me.
Otherwise I don't think I've recognized anybody or had anybody recognize me.
