Being recognized in game from the Forums

I've never had anyone call me out before. I have seen Selli a few times on Seal Rock, but she was on the opposing team, so I could only speak with Fell Cleaves. ;3

LOL. I feel like I mighta jumped on you body before. XD I don't appreciate being smacked around. :P

We had a Mael once who knew us and he kept waving at us, so we didn't kill him and he just tagged along with us, LOL. We ended up all dancing on a node at one point, it was pretty funny. His team was not impressed and he got vote kicked, though. XD

I've seen the duskwight with the pink hair around. I had this odd feeling that he was familiar when I saw his avatar but I wasn't sure... and there he was just today!

I was recognized once which is the only time I am aware of but I don't personally recognize people from here because I have character names turned off in game due to how much clutter everyone's names on screen make, it only shows me people's names when in group with them, if in my friends list or if I select them. I probably come across as slightly rude not noticing who is around me because I don't see people's character names in general so I should probably turn names back on outside of raids/dungeons and such now as I have altered my HuD layout and should be less of a problem at this stage.

I recognize most of the people from the PVP subforum, so long as we're on the same datacenter. I don't pay much attention to names in faceroll content, sorry. :X I did recognize one of the big SMN theorycrafters in a WoD run once, though - he nyerked me in DPS by a solid 50 or so. Could never best him no matter how much I tryharded.

Not ingame, but got recognized in the FFXIV blog comments today.
Something along the lines of "I just realized you are Atoli from the forums!*punt*" and I thought:
"Oh god, I wrote soooo many things there Which is she remembering, the good or the stupid ones? Probably the bad ones, since her first reaction is to punt me xD"

I get recognized fairly often. Makes me feel like either I frequent the Forums too often or I'm pleasant enough and/or skilled enough to be remembered. I hope it's the latter lol. I think it's so cool when I run into someone I recognize, but I do feel a bit more pressured to not suck considering how much I look into theory crafting and post on the Jobs forum.
